From Angkor Wat to Bagan 12 May 2013 – 25 May 2013
Our trip was wonderful and beautifully developed by Mr. Anh. Everyone took great care of us, the accommodations were great and we were warmly welcomed everywhere. My only recommendation is that if someone is visiting Inle Lake, the person that greets them at the Heho airport (it wasn't the guide) recommends that they change money at the airport. It's hard to get Kyat anywhere else at Inle Lake.
Thank you for an unforgettable vacation.

Hi Jack,
I just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time in Myanmar and to thank you for organizing everything so smoothly for us. We were so impressed by the country we are already planning our return!
Thank you for your patience with our constantly changing schedule. The guides were on the whole very good and knowledgeable, the flights all left on time and arrived on time (if not early - better than most international flights we have been on!) and everyone was there to meet us as arranged. The mini buses were very spacious and comfortable, with water & welcome cool towels supplied, and the excellent drivers made us feel very safe. Accommodation in Bagan, Mandalay and Inle Lake was of a good standard and the Hotel 7 Mile was fine for a short overnight stay - I would not recommend it for any longer stay, as it is a way out of town and very basic, with no facilities.
Thanks again, we will be recommending you to our numerous friends who are all keen to travel to Burma after hearing our stories and seeing the incredible photos!
Best regards,

Dear Trang Vu,
We would like to thank you personally for the wonderful job you did ahead of our journey to your beautiful country! The program you made for us was excellent - every bits and pieces of it - and the reason why we had an lovely vacation that we would never forget. We just loved it! Also, all the excellent guides that we met from your agency contributed to that! In fact, we were wondering if you could send us name and e-mail addresses to all our guides so we could send them our greetings from Norway.
We will recommend your agency and beautiful country to all the travelers we know!
Warmest regards from Stine Meier Didriksen and May-Brith Lund, Norway

Dear Jack,
Review of your excellent service along our Myanmar (11 days) & Indochina grand tour (43 days) of total 54 days!!!
It is a pleasure to tell you how much we enjoyed our Indochina experience due to your excellent service.
I was careful to start(as a pilot plan) with Myanmar!
It took no time for me to be sure that we have found the way to work together building both understanding & trust!
Although I presented you a detailed Itinerary for the whole duration with no compliance with your standard itineraries, you were cooperative & understanding keeping in touch along the planning in an admired way.
I have told you that out of precaution I asked Asian Trails to offer the same ... they failed to do it!!!
I have to praise your leading motivating & controlling your colleagues & the many guides in your local offices along the itinerary (Myanmar, Laos, North & South Vietnam & Cambodia) while keeping an open line for me if I had any problem requiring your attention.
Meeting Carmela & me in Hanoi for lunch to give me a mobile phone to use all over Vietnam to assure personal communication was really "out of the line of duty" I know & I have put it forward ... that i was a tough client who knew what he wants & made sure I get it & Carmela needed special attention & comfort using her Crutch ... although coping with all challenges like the golden Rock & Mt Popa in Myanmar, through the Valley of Jars & Phonsavan to Dien Bien Phu along Routes 13N & 12N (under heavy works) to Sa Pa Bac Ha on the Chinese border.
There is no way that in such a long & demanding itinerary ( in the top season of National & new year Holidays) will not be some problems or changes required ... Yet, your inherent readiness to help & ability react immediately with constructive solutions, is remarkable.
Dear Jack,
I could go on & on without exaggerating ...
Yet it is time to wrap up thanking you & your company who lets you conduct the business this way ...
We really felt that you followed the saying : The customer first!
Although we thanked personally all the wonderful helpful & knowledgeable guides & drivers, along the way please convey them our gratitude ... We did our best to adjust to their English ...
You may be sure that our presentation of the trip to everyone, includes always the best compliments & recommendations to you & your company.
Keep on ...
We meant it when we invited you to visit us in Israel ...
We will be happy to show you around with care ...
Have a successful (snake)year
Yours,
David & Carmela from Israel

Dear Ms Trang,
Sorry for the delayed reply buy I wanted to have enough time for response correctly you.
We are still enjoying our trip although we returned to home 3 weeks ago!! We really fell in love with Myanmar and specialy Bagan.
We are very sure we took a good decision in got a tour with you. Our tourists guide were awesome and enjoyed the time we send time with them, they cared for us in every details our stayed in Myanmar. We felt safe with them in a country we couldn´t communicate at all.
Just one thing, Myanmar is a poor country and all service are very cheap, and your tour was too expensive if we compare the costs you had for this job v/s you charge us for this tour, I think it was too much.
We doesn't have any negative comment for you, your office or tourists guides!! just thanks a lot
I hope you have a very good time
Thank you & Best regards,

Dear Ms Trang,
Thank you kindly for organizing a very interesting trip in short notice. My wife and myself enjoyed the Myanmar history and buddhism exposure immensely, and we found the experience very interesting and educational. The guides were well informed, and were very helpful and accommodating; we had only minor communications problems with them. The hotels were nice with high western standards. We will definitely recommend your Agency service to our friends. Our sincere thanks and best regards,

Hotel and Flight booking - 9 Feb – 15 Feb 2013
Dear Ms Vu
Our trip was very nice we loved Myanmar and your service were perfect.
One point for the hotel at the lake. the service there was not ok the staff was very slow and they could not speak english well. For 2 times they forgot to take our food order and because there were not other place to go for 2 times we wait for almost 2 hours to eat something. Bagan was perfect and also the flight ticket organization.
Now we like so much that we are thinking to come back soon
thanks

Dear Jack and the team at Myanmar Travel!
We had an amazing trip to Myanmar and really loved seeing the different areas in Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay and Lake Inle and learned so much about the local culture and traditions. The tour guides were all extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful and brought the different sights very much to life for us. The organisation of the trip was perfect, everything worked well and according to plan, the tour guides were there at the airport waiting for us, the cars were ready and the hotels booked. Some of the domestic flights were delayed by about 30 minutes which wasn't a problem and sort of to be expected. The tour guides were flexible and adapted the schedule according to our wishes when we wanted to spend a bit more time in one place. Their restaurant recommendations were often very good. One of the highlights was our stay at the Buddhist Education Centre which was so special and we felt very privileged to get an insight into the life of the monks and the nuns at a nearby nonnery. Dr Kumara, the rector of the Monastery, was very kind and spend a lot of his time showing us around the campus and the nearby Saigang area and explaining about the Buddhist traditions and their religion. We learned so much from this visit and will remember it for ever. In Mandalay we discovered a very good western restaurant, Cafe City, just outside the Palace near the East gate, which you should recommend to other travelers as well. Hotel Mandalay was our least favourite hotel. It was clean and tidy, however, the rooms were close to a major road with trucks hooting at night and there was also a guard with a telephone on the corridor which was ringing throughout the night. We would have preferred a different hotel with a nicer atmosphere. The other hotels were all fine with decent food. Dinner at the Conqueror Resort hotel was probably the best out of the different hotels. The boat journey from Mandalay to Bagan took 13 1/2 hours, quite a bit longer than the 11 hours mentioned in our book. The food on the boat was pretty terrible, but luckily our guide had recommended to bring some food for the journey so we were ok. Just the last 2 hours felt a bit long, otherwise it was fine and the captain seemed very skillful steering the boat in between the sandbanks. We really loved the journey upriver and seeing the different villages along the banks. The reason why we gave Miu, our guide in Pindaya, a slightly lower mark was that he didn't volunteer much information in the cave pagoda. At Lake Inle he was much more knowledgeable and he was always so kind with the workers in the different workshops. All our guides made this a wonderful experience for us and were very kind with us and our children. We were very impressed by how friendly the people are in Myanmar. Thank you for organising a fantastic holiday for us,

Dear Ms. Nguyen,
I must apologize for not writing to thank you earlier, but I have been preoccupied editing the several thousand wonderful photos we took in Myanmar. The trip was wonderful! You companies services were absolutely perfect, as your services were as well. We are experienced travelers and I must say that our experience with you was the best we have found. Your professionalism should be a model for the travel industry. I have filled out the questionnaire you sent me but I wanted to express my personal thanks from all of us on the trip for your services.
Myanmar was delightful. The people were very friendly and helpful. We all agreed that despite the rigors of travel it was the most relaxing trip we have taken. I would be very happy to provide an endorsement of your services and the delight of visiting Myanmar at any time.
Sincerely,

Myanmar holiday 14 Jan – 27 Jan 2013
Hello, Aung,
Thank you for a spectacular trip in Myanmar! All arrangements were excellent, and everything went beautifully. Our drivers and guides were outstanding; everyone was prompt and cheerful; and we did not have any problems with our trip at all. Also, all of your advice was very helpful.
Maureen and I especially appreciated your assistance with the money exchange and your concern for our flight confirmations and the short connection time in Yangon. It was most reassuring to know that you would be available and able to assist us if we had a problem.
As to that connection in Yangon, Air Bagan was splendid. When we boarded the flight out of Ngapali, I told the steward that we were concerned about having enough time to make our connecting flight to Bangkok. He evidently called Air Bagan in Yangon, because when we landed, there was an agent there to meet us. He immediately got our checked luggage and escorted us in a private van to the airport and then through immigration and security. He found us a taxi and rode with us to the international airport and ushered us through immigration and customs there and right up to security. This service was invaluable and we would never have made the connection without his aid. Air Bagan and everyone else concerned is to be highly commended.
Thank you for all your attention to the details of our trip. We will certainly recommend you to our friends and hope that they will have the pleasure of working with you in the future.
Cordially,
Mimi Elder & Maureen Grace

Hi Hue
Thank you for organizing a great holiday we all enjoyed it immensely so have no hesitation in using you again or recommending you to others.
Of course everything was not perfect so a little feedback
1. We found the guide that met us at Mandalay and took us to Bagan although very attentive did not have very good English which meant we could not understand much of what she said
Her ability to put meaningful sentences together was lacking. The driver was very good in that he kept the vehicle spotless.
2. We had a schedule flight out of Ngapali I think at 10.15am which meant we left the resort at 8.45am this flight went to Yangon where we changed planes to catch the next flight to Inle Lake having to pick up our bags at Yangon. While we waited we found there was a flight from Ngapali Via Yangon to Inle lake later in the morning which had we caught would have allowed us to relax for a couple more hours at the resort and our bags would have gone straight through to Inle Lake They are the only things which could have been improved on the rest was great

Our entire tour was perfectly organized. I must say. From the beginning to the end. We were always promptly picked up at the airport and delivered to the airports. Flights went smoothly and were on time. Hotel check ins were fast and smooth and we got the rooms we expected. Hotels we chose were really the best and we are glad we did that. The tour guides were all fluent in English, flexible to our requests and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful journey!

Dear Jack,
Thank you for organising our recent trip to Myanmar. We had a wonderful time and were generally very happy with our itinerary, guides and accommodation.
Our trip was well-organised and ran very smoothly. The accommodation, guides and drivers were all generally excellent. We were grateful that the guide for Inle Lake suggested that we do a short trek. This was excellent and we would have enjoyed more (even though I wasn't well that particular day, and the guide looked after me very well). Perhaps we didn't need to spend a night both at Pindaya and at Kalaw - they could have been done in one day. We would like to go to more remote areas next time and also perhaps have some relaxation by the beach! Thank you for introducing us to your fascinating country.

Thank you, Hue.
We're having a great Christmas. Do you have a holiday that you are celebrating this time of year also? I know the kids have holiday from school. I'm sure you are enjoying the lovely weather this time of year.
We had an absolutely fantastic trip. Everyday was so full of amazing sights and adventures. We met so many kind people and we learned so much too. We enjoyed each guide and have been telling everyone here how amazing your country is. We truly hope to return again soon.
Thank you for all that you did to make our time there special.
Praying you have a beautiful year of unexpected blessings, growth and opportunity in 2013.

Angkor Wat to Bagan 25 Nov – 12 Dec 2012
Dear Ms Nguyen,
We would like to thank you for the excellent organisation of our tour to Angkor and Myanmar. Everything was well organised, the hotels and the rooms where very good, the good english spoken guides (except one) where very interested to explain history, people, culture, landscape and the food in local street restaurants. We would like to point out that the food there was always much better than in the hotels. We returned safely to tell everybody of our wonderful travel.
With copies to Mr. Maray in Angkor and Ms Su Su in Bagan we would like to thank them directly for the very comfort they gave us as representatives of their countries. And we thank the very competent guide in Mandalay (unfortunately we do not have his co-ordinates) for his excellent views on politics and knowledge on history. All the drivers directed us safely in clean cars.
Overall, it was a great experience and we will recommend your organisation.
We wish you Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you

Hi Jack,
All the arrangements worked like clockwork. We planned our trip at very short notice which gave rise to a few problems but nothing that Jack could not overcome. Would thoroughly recommend this travel agency to arrange another trip to Burma
(Peter Skinner)
The whole trip was excellent and well planned. I would definitely recommend a trip to Myanmar to friends. I am not sure I will visit again, simply because there are many places I haven't travelled to yet, including Vietnam.

Grand Indochina Tour 12 Nov – 29 Nov 2012
Dear Hue,
First of all I want to say that we as a whole are VERY PLEASED with the tour and all the arrangements done by you and your company. We had a few wonderful and very interesting weeks and we are impressed that everything worked out so fine - ever better than we had expected! This is the second time that I buy a tour outside of Sweden - last year I did it in Tanzania Africa - and my experience of these has just been positive. Maybe you can imagine that many things on a trip like this were unfamiliar to us but the e-mail conversation we had before we left was magnificent and you made us feel safe and secure thanks to your patience and all the answers that we got.
Special thanks for your arrangement when we arrived in Myanmar without photos - this was very well done by you!
Since I teach and have tought marketing at different universities here in Sweden I consider myself to be a very demanding customer and that makes me even happier to be so pleased even if I have some comments as below:
Regarding the guides I have written a sheet that I enclose with comments that me and my wife have agreed upon. I would though like to add that their English in general was not so good and difficult to understand so that there were some unnessary misunderstandings.
Regarding the drivers and the vehicles I am happy to say that this was very good. All the drivers were careful, did not take any chances and we felt relaxed during all the trips that we made.
The flights that you had arranged were also better than we expected since flying in Myanmar was nothing that we had any information about before. That some flights were changed was entirely up to us and thus we also paid for the extra costs.
When it comes to the hotels we found all but one very good. The so called 5-star hotel in Mandalay - Shwe Pyi Thar - was not good at all and absolutely not worth the money it cost! First of all the showers did not work and even if I told the reception this we had to sit down in the bath tub to take shower. Secondly the people in the restaurant were not very interested in serving us maybe since we were not in a big group and we did not get what we ordered. YOU SHOULD THUS NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO OTHER CUSTOMERS in our opinion.
We are thus happy to have had this tour arranged by you and we feel that it could not have been much better! Thank you very much especially to you but also the people around you that helped make this tour a very pleasant one.
To meet you in Hanoi was very nice and I really appreciated the short time we had together when you gave me fine information and also told me a little about yourself. Both me and my wife now wish you all the best and hope that you will have a fine baby at the beginning of next year. Please let me know once this has happened. Thanks again and kindest regards,
Göran and Kerstin Anderberg from Sweden
Myanmar Cruise Trip - 20 Nov – 1 Dec 2012
Hi Hong
Sorry for taking a little while to get back to you. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Myanmar and have nothing but praise for the service we received from Myanmar Travel. I would especially like to thank you for all your organisation. Everything went very smoothly and all our arrangements were as planned. We particularly liked the hotels in Inle lake and Bagan. We were also very pleased with all our guides and drivers. In particular Nelly in Yangon went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable and was a fantastic guide.
In Inle lake we had two guides as unfortunately our first guides grandmother became very ill. His replacement San San was also wonderful. Our Mandalay guide (sorry don't know his real name) was very good and had a lot of knowledge and information to give us. The guide Mr Zew (I think that was his name) in Bagan while he showed us some interesting places was not very good at keeping us informed of his plans and what we were doing. We would not hesitate to book again with Myanmar Travel and will recommend your company to any of our friends planning to travel to Myanmar.
Once again thank you for all your help.

Dear Ms. Hong,
You're absolutely right - we had amazing days in Myanmar and we enjoyed traveling with your company. We'd like to thank you so much for the perfect arrangement of our tour. We found all details as agreed with you. Even the tour guides in Mandalay and Bagan did very good service. We highly can recommend them and with pleasure we would enjoy the service of Myanmar Travel on further trips.
By the way as you ask our comments - the Mandalay Hill Hotel Deluxe Room doesn't really fit the Luxury category. All other rooms were to our most entire satisfaction.
We wish you and the team of Myanmar Travel all the best, all time happy guests and successful business.
Thank you again and very best regards

Myanmar Cruise Trip - 22 Oct – 9 Nov 2012.
Good Morning Hong
Thank you for your message.
We arrived home in Adelaide yesterday (Monday 19 November)and I am only now catching up on all of my emails (over 500!) so will be busy today.
On behalf of my partner, Graham Loch, and my friends, Heather Fletcher and Michael McGrath, I would like to say that we had a truly wonderful time in Myanmar. We were prepared to be amazed but the extent to which we so enjoyed our time in the country surprised us all and are just so very pleased that we decided to visit at a time when the country is emerging and being “discovered” by the world. We found the people the strongest image we will take away – the smiles, the welcoming “hellos”, the handshakes, the friendliness of the frequent question “where are you from?” and the many opportunities to meet, talk with and experience such a diverse cultural and historical perspective. There were just so many highlights it would be very difficult to isolate any but amongst our shared memories would be:
• Inle Lake (heightened by witnessing one day of the Phaung Daw OO Pagoda Festival)
• Golden Rock (where we gained a great appreciation of cultural and religious beliefs shared by families and communities – quite apart from the challenge of that loooong climb up!!)
• Yangon
Graham and I spent many hours simply walking, watching and often engaging with many people. Sipping tea at a tea house/talking to locals in their street market/eating delicious different foods from street stalls
Heather and Michael took time to ride on the Circle Train and were just amazed at the sights, sounds and the opportunity to meet/talk with so many passengers
• Bagan and the impact of a culture which has existed for so many centuries and the stories to be learnt through diverse examples of buildings and stories going back to the 9th century.
I hired a bicycle one afternoon intending to be away from the Hotel for 1-1.5hrs as it was quite hot but go so engrossed in my “discoveries” that I arrived back after 4 hours to find Graham about to send out a search party for me!!!
We do so hope the international community (UNESCO in particular) will assist Myanmar to preserve this wonderful site for future generations
• Ngapali Beach which was just stunning. Graham and I were so sorry to have only had 2.5 days here and will definitely return at some future stage
• RV Paukan – a truly marvellous time on board and a very special few days in our Myanmar visit
Just some of the many many highlights ALL of which will remain with us for a very long time courtesy of the large number of photographs we all took!!!
Hotels?
All afforded good accommodation and service but we would make special mention of Inle Lake View Resort and Hotel at Tharabar Gate both of which provided exceptional standard of accommodation and excellent staff attention.
Guides/drivers?
We are understand speaking English will vary and our expectation was not for anyone to be as fluent as we are at English speaking but not every guide was able to answer our questions/provide comprehensive information. However they were all warmly welcoming and tried their very best to ensure we enjoyed our time in each place. We were particularly impressed by San San at Inle Lake – she was just wonderful and added to our overall experience through her caring attention and local knowledge. Similarly, Naing in Yangon provided us with good attentive service and always answered our many many questions with great patience and knowledge.
Flights?
All planes were clean, well presented with attentive flight attendants however we did find that Air Bagan was seldom on time, our longest wait being 1hour.
Drivers/vehicles?
All drivers are to be commended on their safe alert driving and the standard of vehicles was quite acceptable.
May I also send special thanks to everyone in the Yangon office for the assistance in locating an alternative Yangon to Bangkok flight for our departure on Friday 9 November........without this help we would have been in great difficulty making our further connection ex Bangkok to Singapore that evening.
My personal thanks once again to you for your guidance and assistance throughout the decision/booking process and in the lead up to our departure for your patient answering of my many questions. All greatly appreciated.
Graham and I would like to return to Myanmar at some future stage and are interested to see other parts of the country but also to spend a little more time in Yangon which, as a SE Asian city, intrigued us. We are also interested to watch Myanmar over the next year particularly before and after the elections and both have several books we purchased on Myanmar culture/history and biographies to now read to further extend and enhance our understanding/knowledge of the country and its people.
We had a simply wonderful time.
My warm regards
Sue Mikkelsen from Australia

From all my family: A BIG thank you for all your arrangements!! It was all perfect and wonderful
Extra thanks to our guide in Bagan that had to work so extra hard on the phone with all changes to get us to Ngapali
The Halong Bay and Laos trip was all great. Guides (Hiep and Lar) were both very good and had great knowledge Myanmar trip was all good except for the lady-guide in Yangon, but you already know that.
And again, thank you for your nice gifts to the kids in Hanoi, that was a very nice surprise J

Dear Ms Hue,
I herewith would like to thank you for the perfect organization of our trip in Myanmar. Everything was really special and it worked in a perfect way.
The program was fantastic and we could see a lot of things. The guides were wonderful especially the guide in Mandalay, the pa-o guide for Kakku and the guide in Bagan were fantastic and we would recomend them to everyone. The hotels were simply fantastic above all Myanmar Treasure Inle Lake and Red Canal Mandaly we liked very much. Only the room given to us in Amazing was not good as directly located near the kitchen and we couldn't sleep quite all the night (just for future customers it's important to know for you). The intern flights were also well organized.
Myanmar is a fantastic country and with your perfect organization we could love this country even more if possible.
We will recomend your agency to everybody will ask us in future and if we will go to Cambodia or Laos for sure we will write you again.
You do not have representation in Nepal perhaps?
Thank you very much again.

Hello Ms Hong
Firstly congratulations on your marriage hope you had a wonderful honeymoon. We were informed of this by your representatives in Yangon upon our arrival. Our trip was excellent; your planning and detail could not be questioned. Everything ran to schedule and we had no problems at all. I would (and will) recommend your tour company to others.
All our guides were very good; two we felt were outstanding they were; our first guide in Yangon - Aung Myo Win and our guide in Mandaly - Naing Tun Lin. We were all very impressed with the standard of our accommodation; Inle Lake; Bagan & Ngapali Beach we all beautiful. The Hotel in Yangon 'Yuzana Garden Hotel' has much potential. We liked the hotel as it has so much charm.
If the current renovations are done well this could become an excellent boutique hotel. I suggest you include this hotel in future tours; providing the renovations are done properly; as it is in an excellent location.
Our flights were all comfortable and on time; we were a little disappointed to learn that Air Bagan is owned by a General in the current Govt. We all knew some of our money would end up in Govt. hands but hoped to limit this as much as possible.
Once again thank you for organising our trip all our group enjoyed themselves immensly.
Best Regards

Dear Hong,
I hope you are well and having a good day. Sorry for taking a long time to respond.
We had a truly wonderful time in Myanmar and would like to thank you for all the work you put in to organising our trip. Each of our guides were really friendly, full of information and highly professional and we would recommend them to anyone travelling to Myanmar. Our days were full and we feel we captured the essence of Myanmar and it's people and culture. Despite the last minute changes the hotels we stayed in for our tour were excellent providing us with a comfortable place to rest after a day's sight seeing. We will definitely recommend your company to our friends.
As part of our tour we included a balloon trip with Balloon's over Bagan and found this to be an excellent and memorable experience.
After our tour we stayed on in Yangon and were somewhat dissappointed with our hotel, the Yuzana Garden hotel. It is in a good location and the staff are very helpful and friendly but the hotel is in need of a lot of improvement (e.g. the breakfast, the temperamental elevator and the lack of water from time to time (in the shower).
We hope this information is useful to you and if there is anything else we can do please let us know.
Best Regards

5/5 - very satisfied. I got your name by Googling on the internet for a Myanmar vacation agent.
Initially I was a bit sceptical - unknown country , dealing with agent far away on the internet etc.. I picked Myanmar Travels at random to try out. But as I started communicating with you through e-mails I got more comfortable and was convinced that I had made a good choice.
Thank you very much for making our trip memorable.

Hello Hue, how are you?
Sorry it took me a week to get back to you (since we returned to Israel, that is).
Our vacation was magnificent! We had a wonderful time. Aside from the fact that Myanmar is beautiful, the guides and drivers were superb, they always were there on time to greet us, and they were informative, pleasant, and sensitive to our needs and desires. Everything worked like a clock! Yet the best part (and please forward this information to your superiors) was your handling of the "operation", from your first response to my initial inquiry, to your "real time" responses during the trip (I think we accumulated altogether about 60-70 emails between us altogether...). You have been responsive, patient, and so very informative without which, I am sure, we wouldn't have been able to enjoy the vacation as much as we have!
Going down to the detail level, and please do not take this as criticism but rather as a constructive feedback, please note the following:
- Our best guide, by far, was the guide in the trek. His name is Aung Aung Oo (I believe that he does not usually work for your company but he substituted for somebody else). An excellent young man which, if there is any way to convey to him our appreciation, it will be great.
- The second hotel in Yangon, East Hotel, like I wrote you already, was the worst!!! Toilets without doors make it very unpleasant. Yet the "compensation" - the last night in the Kandawgyi Palace Hotel was a great choice of yours, and a great way to spend the last night in Yangon. Thank you for that.
- I suggest that from now on you inform those who intend to go on a trek in this season to bring good trekking shoes. "good walking shoes" will not be able to handle the unbelievable amount of mud and some water enroute. I understand that in the dry season it is different, but not in or around the rainy season (luckily we had trekking shoes with us so all went well).
Once again, Hue, you have been wonderful and we are sincerely grateful Should we plan on another trip to this side of the globe I will certainly get in touch, and I will most certainly continue recommending you to others.
Most sincerely, I wish you all the best,
PS Attached is a picture of Nili and I, so that you know who you dealt with :-)

Dear Hue
Many thanks for organising our Myanmar holiday. We had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. We thought that the itinerary was well planned, balanced and flexible with all arrangements going smoothly and to schedule and that the trip was very good value with a minimum of fuss. We will certainly recommend your company to any friends planning to visit Myanmar.
Here is some feedback, none of which should be taken as criticism and most of which is minor comment.
We think that it would be advisable to indicate to potential customers that there are some aspects to travelling in Myanmar that would make it difficult for people with a disability (eg steep stairways, need to get in and out of boats, need to be bare-foot, broken footpaths and general lack of disability access). It would also be useful to warn customers that the trip to Golden Rock is strenuous and to take little luggage due to the crowded truck ride and need to be carried up the mountain on a palanquin.
We were impressed by the friendliness, kindness and openess of people everywhere and we never felt in danger even at night. However, we did sometimes feel uncomfortable intruding into religious institutions when monks and other people were at prayer and were sometimes unsure of the correct behavior.
There was often a lack of toilet facilities
It was extremely difficult to obtain postage stamps and to post mail.
It was difficult to change money outside the major cities.
It would have been preferable if the hotels had checked which of our party were smokers when allocating rooms with balconies.
We liked all our guides and drivers who were all friendly, caring and helpful. However, we thought it would have been useful to have been given their correct names beforehand.
We enjoyed the welcoming banquet and cultural performance. Our most interesting meal was when our guide in Mandalay took us to a local restaurant. We often had boring meals in the hotels and would have liked more local advice on other possible interesting restaurants eg in the suburbs of Yangon.
We thought that it was good that we had a few days longer than most tours, particularly in Bagan where we enjoyed both the sunset boat cruise and horse ride. However, we felt that we still did not have enough time in Yangon to explore the many interesting sights.
Clearly Myanmar is on the edge of major development which will gradually see improvements to infrastructure and the banking system which will solve many of the issues I have mentioned.
Once again, many thanks for organising our trip!
Cheers

Hello Jack,
I wanted to thank you for an amazing tour of Myanmar!
Andrew and I relished every moment of our time in Yangon, Bagan and Inle Lake. Min Min, Mr.Zaw, and Thandar Oo were so kind, professional and knowledgeable and we became fast friends with each. Thank you for allowing us to meet these wonderful people!
We were unable to return Min Min's feedback form, but we wanted to share with you that he provided excellent service in all areas. Also, we lost Min Min's email address and would like to send him photos from our trip. Could you share his email with us?
Thank you again,

Dear Ms Nguyen
We would like to give you some feedback on our trip to Myanmar. We have been home three weeks now but are still feeling happy.
Everything was very fine. The local guides and drivers were excellent. Your Myanmar office organised everything well; we were met every time we arrived at a different place and always taken to the airport when we left.
The Yangon, Mandalay and Bagan guides were just wonderful and we felt that they became our friends by the time we left them. They are all specially good, in different ways. The young Yangon driver - who also took us to Kyaiktiyo and then back to Yangon via Bago - was simply fantastic. He thought of many comforts for us as well as being an excellent driver. The driver from Heho was a man older than we are with a lovely, crinkled smiling face who also thought of many extra little things to show us and some great photo opportunities: also a very good driver.
All the boats and their drivers were also fine. Everywhere we were looked after with plenty cold water to drink, hot tea, towels, umbrellas: we were always made comfortable.
The hotels were also very good indeed.
The Strand in Yangon was worth every cent of the extra money we paid; it was lovely and the staff were excellent. It was a great location, being easy to walk to the market, to other restaurants, to change money etc. The food was very good indeed and everything else (drinks, massage etc.) was very reasonably priced for the high standard provided. It certainly is world standard, with that extra care that comes in places like Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia etc. Our Yangon guide told us about going across the river to a village and we did this when we had a few days free time just before we left. We spent a big morning on the other side looking about in bicycle rickshaws. Our Yangon guide advised us how much to pay and it was right.
Myanmar Treasure Resort at Inle Lake was excellent. Everything was perfect there and the hotel was in such a delightful location. Again, the staff were better than good: they treated us so well and, at the same time, they were fun and always laughing and making jokes with us. Again, we felt as though we had made friends. In fact, we are friends with some of them on Facebook (as we are with the guide from Yangon).
In Mandalay, the Hotel by Red Canal was also very good. It was comfortable and delightful and, again, the staff were wonderful and we are still friends with some of them. The hotel, although it is as good as the others, is in a very remote part of the city. Please add 5000 kyats for every taxi trip from there to the centre of the town. It was OK when we had the driver and guide, but for on our free days, it wasn't possible to walk to the market or other places, especially as it was quite hot.
The food in Hotel by Red Canal was all Indian and not good. We have given the hotel feedback about this - there should be more Burmese choices.
But! Almost next to the hotel is a great new Myanmar resturant called Canal Mandayay Restaurant. It is new and it is FANTASTIC. Please try and recommend it to your clients as it's worth it (and they didn't pay us to say it or ask for feedback in TripAdvisor). It's just very good!
I have to tell you that one of the reasons we went to Myanmar was to try to find some people I had met there 32 years ago. And in Mandalay we met them. You can see them on UTube and Facebook. They are called the Moustache Brothers and also the Par Par Lay Dance Troupe. We didn't tell you before in case there was trouble because of the politics in Myanmar. But it was a very happy reunion and we all remembered each other after so many years. We are now sharing email addresses and will never lose our contact again.
So, in Bagan the Hotel by Tharabar Gate was as good as the others; its gardens are stunning, the open-air restaurant is a great location. The playing of Myanmar music by performers is a real plus. The fresh flowers arrangements on the bed each night had to have a photo every time: they were so beautiful. The food was good. The foyer is very special too - the decor is just right for Bagan. We did feel that we might have been charged too much for our laundry (compared to Inle Lake), but perhaps it was our mistake.
The negative feedback is very small: going to Hanging Rock from Kyaiktiyo. The truck is exciting and a very good adventure. Not comfortable at all, but great fun. Ms Nguyen, after the truck - that is no leisurely walk!!!!!!!!!!!!! A person who is not young, or who is not healthy, CAN NOT make this walk from the truck to Mountain View Hotel. One could have a heart attack. It is very difficult! We took sedan chairs and that was fine. Even people much younger than we are, took sedan chairs. It was embarrassing, but it it good for the sedan chair carriers because in 5-10 years, there will be a cable car and who will feed their children then?
Also, your peple from the Myanmar head office seemed very nervous when our plane from Signapore was late so we arrived late with our money to pay for the balance of the trip. I think they phoned the guide many times to see where we were. They were polite but obviously very keen to get the money. Please do not mistake me, we were happy to be rid of that cash as well!!
One last comment: there are no sunsets to be seen in the wet season in Myanmar. It was a big joke with all of our guides.
Thank you for organising the best holiday we have ever had.
With kind regards and very best wishes to you.

Myanmar Holiday 14 days (9 Jun – 22 Jun 2012)
Good morning Hue
Thank you for your e.mail and we very much enjoyed the farewell dinner, the food was good and the staff very attentive.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Myanmar, but regretfully 2 weeks in not sufficient time to really get to know the country or the people, although I understand we were very lucky with the weather. We went out into the community as much as possible and everyone we encountered was only to keen to assist and we felt safe at all times. All the transfers were waiting for us, the cars were clean and the drivers polite and helpful.
Perhaps the only helpful hint I can think of us is that we found the 'process' through the internal airports different to the international airports that everybody is used to, and therefore perhaps printed guidelines to tourists as to what to expect and what the process is at these airports would be useful, but we did see other tourists who were struggling to understand whether or not it was their flight which was leaving. By our last flight we fully understood the 'sticker' system and knew what to look out for. The maps that you provided at the beginning was well used by the end of the trip.
Your company provided us with everything that we asked for and were especially supportive through the issue of the lost wallet, keeping in touch with us and advising us of the best action to take. This event in no way detracted from our enjoyment of the trip.
I know there is a great interest in this country about holidays to Myanmar and I would be happy to pass on your details to anybody I know who may want to visit your country.
We may well come back to you to visit again or to one of your other destinations!
Regards

Vietnam & Myanmar Tour 10 March – 26 March 2012
Hong,
We really enjoyed our time in Vietnam & Myanmar but we were sorry to not be able to do the balloon ride. Nobody can control the weather though. It was very nice to meet you in Hanoi as well as everyone in the Yangon office.
Thank you so much for the set of lacquerware--they are just beautiful & we will think of you whenever we use them. We also received a disk with many pictures of Myanmar from one of our guides & 2 Myanmar bags from the Myanmar office. Even though there were a few mix-ups along the way, we had a great time & will recommend your offices to our friends.
I've attached the instructions from my bank so you can wire the refund from the balloon ride. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for all your help,
Chris

Thank you for your email and of course for creating a wonderful trip for us. We loved Myanmar. Our three guides and drivers were really terrific. We enjoyed all of the amazing sites. We had very good meals and good accommodations. I took about 3000 photos in the 5 days that we visited. I only wish that we had the time for your longer tour. I would have enjoyed visiting Inle Lake.
You can see some of my Myanmar photos at: www.PBase.com/creativeimages
The Myanmar photos are in three galleries - one for each city that we visited.
Thank you again!

Myanmar Discovery 14 days - (30 Dec 2011 - 12 Jan 2012)
Dear Hue
I would like to express our satisfaction about our tour.
All was very well organized starting with reception on Yangoon arrival, the visit to the different places, and all the rest. Hoteles were excellent expecially in Yangoon, Bagan, and Like Inle. A little lower class than expected one in Mandalay. A special mention for the guides and driver. All them very prepared in explaining all the details and very kind and friendly attitude always available to our request.
In Yangoon. Mr Naing Zao and driver Jin Htwe Dai
in Mandalay: Mr Sai Wunna
in Bagan: Mr. kjaw Swa Win
The guide of Lake Inle was not at the same level.
Finally we are very happy with our Tour and your Company and we hope in a near future to have the chance for organize with your cooperation another tour in Laos.
Only one suggestion: all the hoteles asked a voucher on our arrival that we dont have: I think important to give to the customer together with air tickets also hotel vouchers.
Once again thank you very much for our splendid vacation.
Best regards
